Mangrove Beach Chalets - Tangalle

It was just a top selection for a weekend breather in Tangalle with good value for price. I particularly enjoyed the chilled atmosphere at the beach bar where the sunset was fine. Find a way to bring your own snacks since there are limited choices available nearby.

Very friendly, service-minded staff towards all guests. A nice size and well-equipped room and beautiful decor. Good sleep in a great bed. Free parking on site provided.

I loved the place, its delicious and lovely breakfast.

It was wonderful and fairly clean hotel with a beachfront restaurant. The staff was super-friendly, took good care of everyone. Food was outstanding and I have nothing but wonderful memories from this trip.

The cabanas are beautifully kept and just a few steps from a gorgeous beach. We also loved the friendly service and the delicious food at the atmospheric restaurant that served fresh fish and great Sri Lankan curries.

A slice of paradise in Tangalle

Staying in the spacious One-Bedroom Chalet was a dream! The beach bar served delectable seafood, and the staff joyfully engaged with our children.

Very nice beach location

Entry to the hotel involves a semi-dangerous bridge over a river, concerning. The room lacked crucial amenities like AC and a fridge, contributing to a dreary atmosphere. The hot water was unreliable, a significant hassle. The overall disorganization meant navigation and accessing services felt awkward and unclear, with no proper communication about meal times or where to go for help. It's also worth noting that the beachfront loungers are not reserved , often leaving them occupied by passersby.

The chalets are a visual treat, but I was horrified to find no fridge. Only two tiny bottles for a high price? Disgraceful! They also let random beachgoers hog the scarce sunloungers, leaving actual guests without. I almost thought about giving this place a better review, but the lack of hot water was just too much to ignore.

My kids wished for more beach toys available.

Ideal for a relaxing getaway

The open bathroom setup was very pleasant, and lounging outside on the bed without the sun was epic.

It wasn't inexpensive, but honestly it was still acceptable for the experience we had.

Had an very nice 2-night stay! Loved the spacious, clean room with a lovely patio and the tasty food at the beachfront restaurant. WiFi was weak, but who cares with that view? Definitely going back!

The beach bar had great food with fine views, and the chalets were modern and spacious. We loved swimming in the safe lagoon with our kids.

I spent 2 nights at a charming location where the sound of waves was my alarm clock. Each morning, I had breakfast while watching the ocean's beauty. One special evening, the staff arranged a meal on the beach for us. It was a perfect spot for relaxation after a long trek in the mountains.

We loved the amazing location right on the beach, peaceful and perfect for watching fine sunsets. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and our beautiful room featured a lovely patio with a day bed. The bar and restaurant had a fantastic vibe, overseen by the friendly staff who served reasonably priced, delicious food.

The Wi-Fi connection was occasionally spotty.

The location here is fantastic, right next to a bar/restaurant and a wonderful place to stay.
